So...My DEROS date is listed as 5 November 2011, which is less than 11 months away. DEROS means Date Eligible for Return from Overseas Service, a drawn-out way of saying "First opportunity to get the F out of dodge." This may change, I sure hope not, but usually single people who go to Korea without family stay for one year and no more unless they ask for it. I will not be asking for more time here. I do intend, however, to enjoy the next 11 months and keep a good attitude about my situation. Situation: I want to be in the United States. Now. That said, the road ahead should be entertaining and filled with wacky stories. I hope to document them here.
